Speleoteca

The "Gruppo Grotte Milano" library is considered among the oldest within the italian speleological associations. In fact, the GGM has been collecting and cataloging monographs since 1897. After various travels and logistical problems, in the 1990s the library stopped for about ten years at the house of a GGM member. With the last building assigned to the CAI SEM of Milan, the library is back in operation both for the members of the GGM and for the numerous members of the CAI section of Milan. The GGM library has joined the Speleoteca project by making its holdings online in 2021. Always in constant increase, with its 50 linear metres, it currently includes almost 1100 Italian and foreign monographs and periodicals (magazines) for a total of approximately 5000 texts.
